I have never ever seen the On Local Error... syntax. It appears to be valid, but I would imagine that the Local keyword is redundant and not needed, and I would guess that both syntaxes (with or without the Local) will behave the same.

** The help files don't seem to mention the Local keyword anywhere...strange....

On local error is a hangup from VB3. Can't remember what the difference was but now the local is just ignored...although I still add it out of habit
