Unhappy help needed with creating music software

i would like to create a program like reason, i've created all the layout and sketches of what the program will look like but i don't know what language i should use to create the program, are there any websites that have any tutorials on creating music software,

you might want to look into using DirectX (DirectSound/DirectMusic)
