Default restricted properties?

I get an error saying:

Compile Error:
Function or interface marked as restricted, or the function uses an Automation type not supported in Visual Basic

Private Sub Form_Resize()
If Me.WindowState = vbMinimized Then
Me.Hide
Me.ShowInTaskbar = False ' this is the offending code as well as all the other showintaskbar properties.
ElseIf Me.WindowState = vbNormal Then Me.ShowInTaskbar = True
ElseIf Me.WindowState = vbMaximized Then Me.ShowInTaskbar = True
End If
End Sub

Why would that property be restricted and are there any workarounds to get that fixed?

The property showIntaskbar is readonly at runtime. This may be the problem.

From the help file....

ShowInTaskbar Property

Returns or sets a value that determines whether a Form object appears in the Windows taskbar. Read-only at run time.

Default [censored]Re[censored]: [censored]restricted[censored] [censored]properties[censored]?

I haven't tried this....

...but you could probably do it by setting the window properties with the SetWindowLong API call. There are some extended properties that could help...

WS_EX_APPWINDOW - makes the window appear in the toolbar
WS_EX_TOOLWINDOW -removes window from toolbar
