Default OLE control

I am writing a program that launches a file into its default application. I am attempting to do this with OLEs. The problem i am having is i cannot change the SourceDoc for the OLE. I have over 700 documents that i want to launch in this manner, but not all at the same time. The program is a menu which purpose is to launch these files. What is the best way to do this?
